The Good Brigade in the Land of the Celts: Pre-Lughnasadh
July 18–20
This volunteer work camp is intended to help prepare for the Lughnasad 2025 International Festival of Celtic Culture.
If you’d like to join the Lughnasad festival organizing team, please read the information here. You’ll also find the binding registration form there.
Volunteer Work Information:
Dear volunteers,
first and foremost, thank you for your interest in participating in the volunteer program in the Land of the Celts. (This volunteer effort is organized in cooperation with the Boii, z.s. association.) Thanks to you, we are able to improve the open-air museum grounds and fulfill one of our goals—to educate the public about the lives of our ancestors.
Please arrive for the volunteer work camp ideally on Friday evening. Meals will be provided on Saturday (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and Sunday morning (breakfast). Please let us know if you are vegan, vegetarian, etc. Also, please inform us if you are taking any medications. Accommodations will be provided in the annex of the administration building. Please bring your own dinner for Friday, a sleeping bag and sleeping pad, toiletries, work clothes, work gloves (we can lend you some if you don’t have any), appropriate footwear, and a hat.
If you own any musical instruments, we’d love for you to bring them along as well. And of course, be sure to bring a good attitude and a willingness to work!
If you are unable to attend the work event, please call the organizer (see below). We’d also like to point out that if you fail to show up for the work camp without an excuse, we’ll have to record this, and you may not be welcome to participate in the future. We plan the assigned tasks and group meals based on the number of participants who have registered. Therefore, please confirm your participation only if you know you’ll be coming, or let us know in advance if you can’t make it.
As part of this volunteer event, preparations for the Lughnasad festival will take place!
