Samhain
November 1.
The dark part of the year is upon us, and the souls of our ancestors are wandering among us.
Let’s light some fires and honor their memory.
You can look forward to workshops for kids, a Samhain ritual, and—most importantly—an evening of spooky fun!
The Celtic New Year begins with its darker half, and during this time, the boundaries between the world of the living and the dead blur. The souls of our ancestors wander among us, and we light the way for them with bonfires. During the day, themed workshops will be set up in front of the oppidum, where visitors of all ages can make a mask, an autumn decoration, or a lantern. There will also be craft stalls and refreshments.
In the evening, the oppidum’s gates will open to brave children and adults who enjoy a good scare. A Samhain-themed spookfest awaits us. In the decorated oppidum, you’ll encounter the spirits of ancestors, mythological figures, and magical creatures—some scary, some enchanting…
