Carpentry Weekend at the Open-Air Museum
August 8–10, 2025
We invite you to a weekend carpentry workshop at the Land of the Celts open-air museum, where hands, stories, and nature come together as one.
This August, we’ll be building a prehistoric shelter, and you can help us with it. If you’d like to learn how to work with wood and traditional carpentry techniques, join us.
What can you expect?
- A carpentry workshop led by carpenters from the Land of the Celts
- We’ll be building a shelter made of oak with a thatched roof.
- You’ll try your hand at chopping, sawing, and various carpentry joints, and you’ll learn how to plan a project, select materials, and more.
- A weekend in the beautiful surroundings of the Iron Mountains and the Land of the Celts open-air museum—you can look forward to a friendly atmosphere, evening gatherings by the fire, and the chance to meet other interesting people.
- There’s also the chance to swim in a nearby quarry and enjoy free time to relax in nature.
